I received great marks for my practical Intermediate 2 Drama N.A.B. - a devised piece of theatre, with the stimulus being the painting The Scream by Edvard Munch.  With 1 being the lowest and 5 being the highest, I received a 4 for my acting, a 4 for my directing and a 5 for my input.  I am still awaiting the results of my written N.A.B. which should be coming back soon, and I also have the opportunity to get my grades up to all 5's - wish me luck!

The devised piece was about the journey of a cursed necklace as it weaved its way through a group of four friends.  The necklace was cursed in the way that it possessed you - and this was shown theatrically by Puppeteer-like characters who controlled the wearer's every move while wearing the necklace.  The necklace is like a drug: once you see it you are strangely drawn to it, and it is impossible to take off once wearing it unless you have a great amount of will-power.  I thoroughly enjoyed my time devising this powerful, menacing and somewhat disturbing piece, and we are now moving on to Unit 2 of the Drama course - Theatre Production - and are currently studying the play Dublin by Lamplight.

I am currently part of the Chorus in the Wick Players' pantomime Sleeping Beauty this year and have been rehearsing hard in the months leading up to December.  Not long to go now!  Songs include Dancing Queen, Don't Stop Me Now, Oh What a Night, Party All Over the World, Blame it on the Boogie & You Can't Stop the Beat.
